After buying the leather, it is hand painted and dried in the scorching sun of Marrakech, then cut and sewn by hand, finally shipped to the Atlas Mountains near Marrakech to be finished with silk embroidery by local Berber women to show off expert craftsmanship. There are five people involved in the making of each pouf and it takes one day to complete.
